Our Team at OVA

Brandon Flint - Executive Director

Brandon has shown a lifelong commitment to outdoor recreation and accessibility. Before joining OVA, he spent 30 years with the National Park Service (NPS) ensuring that America’s "crown jewels" are welcoming to all. His leadership journey spanned the nation’s most iconic landscapes, including Yellowstone and Yosemite, and included serving locally as Superintendent at Golden Spike, Timpanogos Cave, and Fossil Butte. Brandon brings a sophisticated level of operational expertise to our organization. He has managed teams in the hundreds and overseen budgets ranging from local park operations to the nearly $1 billion NPS Intermountain Regional budget.

An expert in public-private partnerships and legislative policy, Brandon served as a Bevinetto Fellow in Washington, D.C., where he worked with the House Natural Resources Committee to advocate for inclusive recreation. He was instrumental in managing the Interagency Access Pass, which provides free federal land access for people with disabilities. Brandon holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in Parks and Recreation from Utah State University.

While his work has taken him across the country, Utah has always been home. In the winter, Brandon is likely skiing in Ogden Valley, a passion he has held since age six. During the rest of the year, he is usually found exploring public lands, fishing local waters, or enjoying live music with his wife, Sarah.

Andrew Lewis - Program Director

Drew is driven by a simple belief: outdoor recreation should be accessible to everyone. After experiencing firsthand the joy, confidence, and connection that time outside can bring, he is passionate about sharing those opportunities with people of all abilities through Ogden Valley Adaptive.

Before joining OVA, Drew taught skiing and snowboarding at Powder Mountain for three seasons. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Arizona Snowbowl, where he also supervised the children’s program. Outside of winter, Drew has worked as a rafting guide in the Grand Canyon with Wilderness River Adventures for seven years, helping guests safely experience one of the most iconic outdoor landscapes in the world.

Drew’s superpower is his ability to combine technical expertise with genuine enthusiasm and care for every participant. He holds multiple certifications from The Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors. When not working, Drew can be found sliding on snow, playing in rivers, spending time with his partner, and enjoying the outdoors whenever possible.

Kas Christensen - Program Coordinator

Kas is motivated by a deep commitment to expanding access to outdoor recreation and removing barriers that prevent people from fully participating in the outdoors. Her passion for adaptive sports is rooted in a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the freedom and confidence that comes from being outside, especially on snow.

Before joining Ogden Valley Adaptive, Kas spent five seasons as an adaptive snowsports instructor with Common Ground Outdoor Adventures in Logan, Utah. She discovered her love for outdoor recreation while earning a degree in Recreation Administration from Utah State University, where she began focusing on inclusive access and participant centered experiences. During the summer months, Kas has worked as a park ranger with the National Park Service and the US Forest Service at sites across the western United States.

Kas brings strong instructional skills and thoughtful leadership to her work. She holds PSIA Adaptive Alpine Level 2, Alpine Level 1, and Children’s Specialist certifications. When she is not skiing, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing.

Feet Jensen - Program Coordinator

Darrell “Feet” Jensen is a Utah native who joined the U.S. Army at 19, serving as a combat medic. While deployed to Iraq, he was seriously injured during a ground patrol and spent three years rehabilitating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. During his recovery, Feet struggled to remain active until he discovered an outdoor recreation program that introduced him to adaptive sports. Through this program, he participated in cycling, hunting, fishing, archery, deep-sea fishing, and bowfishing.

After being medically retired in 2012, Feet returned to Utah and continued pursuing outdoor recreation. Over the next 11 years, he stayed active through cycling, rock climbing, sled hockey, Nordic skiing, and sit-skiing. Now working as the Program Coordinator, Feet supports Ogden Valley Adaptive by doing what he loves most; maintaining the specialized equipment that helps people with disabilities participate in recreational activities. When not outdoors, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Bethany, and their son, James, at their home in West Point.

Stacy Burnal - Community Relations Coordinator

She is an outspoken advocate for disability rights, inclusion, and representation and is known to challenge the status quo when it matters most. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Weber State University with a BA in Communication and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Southern Utah University.

Inspired by her neurodiverse son, Stacy founded Awesome Autistic Ogden in 2018, an annual autism appreciation event that has grown into a community resource. She was recognized as an Inspirational Leader by Utah Business and Living Color Utah in 2022 and was elected to the Ogden School Board later that year.
